Please join Cindy Meyer as she facilitates the practice of the spiritual discipline of visio divina -- the spiritual discipline of Godly gazing. This discipline is similar to lectio divina, but it is done through listening for the voice of God using our eyes. We will gather at the meeting place before the practice begins. I will give a brief description of what we will be doing. I will also give you a printed guide that will assist you with this practice. If you have them, please bring a pencil and clipboard with you-these will make your practice much easier. Having a pencil is important — the museum will not allow you to use a pen in any of the galleries. I will try to have some extra pencils on hand. You may also want to think about what type/s of art you like prior to the event.
At the end of the appointed time, we will meet back at the meeting place. If you desire to go on your way at that point, you may. If any of you would like to continue the evening, we can meet at a local restaurant for food/desert/drinks and a discussion of our experience.
**Please let Cindy know (913-549-8575/ firstname.lastname@example.org) if you plan to attend so she can have enough copies of the practice guide on hand for everyone.
